National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Scholar Athlete Dinner
The 46th annual National
Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Scholar Athlete
Dinner sponsored by the Northern Connecticut Chapter will be
held on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the
AquaTurf, 556
Mulberry Street, Plantsville at 1PM. Social hour begins at
12 noon.
We will be honoring 16 senior
scholar/athletes from area schools. This year’s Official of the
Year
honoree is Tom Bocket. Rob Fleeting of Windsor will receive
our Coach of the Year award.
Tickets for this event are $40 each.

The

New Members class will start Tuesday, July 31 going every Tuesday and Thursday for the month
of August
at the
MDC Training Center in Hartford. The cost of the class is $60 and must be paid
before taking the end of class exam. If you have any

Emphasis On Concussions
Sports-related concussions
in high school sports can be serious or even life-threatening situations
if not managed correctly. The National Federation of
State High School Association (NFHS) and Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention (CDC) have teamed up to provide
information and resources to help educate coaches, officials, parents and
students on the importance of proper concussion
recognition and management in high school sports.
